I had to put my good friend and long time companion to sleep today. Smokey has been with me through thick and thin for the last 13 years. I have had her since she was 12 weeks old but age has finally gotten the best of her. She was a purebred Dalmatian who liked to scare adults but was gentle around kids. Although sometimes in a lot of pain she was always very sweet around Olivia and tolerated her sometimes getting a little too rough. The last year was painful for Smokey but I had a very hard time letting her go. She was a tough old girl that is very much missed. Besides me, the one that will miss his closest friend is Blazer. He will be all alone now so we will all have to make sure he gets extra attention from us.Thank you for always being a great dog and a great friend. We will miss you!
